ARTIST PROFILE |
Yvonne has been making jewelry for 15 years in her home studio on the rugged Sonoma Coast of California. For the last 10 years she has been working primarily in metal.
Some of the process she uses are reticulation, fusing, riveting, casting, stone setting, etching, roller printing and piercing. Piercing is done with a Jewelers saw and tiny saw blades to cut sheet metal. Saw blades are threaded in drill bit holes to saw voids out of the metal where necessary. See Portfolio for an example.
She has made some of her stone setting and stamping tools from steel.
She works with Colored Golds, Sterling and Fine Silver, Copper, Brass and Nickel Silver.
